This common-sense reform bill removes unfair penalty enhancements related to the perpetrators HIV status. In line with advancements in treatment, Indiana’s criminal code must be updated to reflect the reality of Hoosiers living with HIV. Current Indiana law only perpetuates the marginalization of people living with HIV. It is time to update these discriminatory and outdated laws.
