WHAT’S AT STAKE IN THE 2024 ELECTION?
Hoosiers should be the ones to make important decisions about their family, their health, and their future. The majority of Hoosiers support access to abortion and all of our reproductive healthcare options, but in 2022 Indiana politicians took away our decision-making power by passing a near-total abortion ban in Indiana.

Now that abortion is all but banned in Indiana, extremist politicians have made it clear that they are going after birth control and IVF care next. With your vote, you have the power to show up to protect your rights and hold politicians accountable.

- October 7, 2024: Deadline to register to vote or update your registration.
- October 8, 2024: First day of early voting in person.
- October 24, 2024: Application deadline for voting absentee by mail.
- November 5, 2024: Election Day! Polls will be open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., local time.

REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM IN INDIANA
For 50 years, we had a standard that allowed every woman in the U.S. a right to abortion up to the point of viability. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, our right to access reproductive healthcare has been determined by our state politicians, and Indiana’s legislature was the first to pass a ban on abortion post-Roe.
Every pregnancy is unique, and the government has no business getting involved in the decisions Hoosiers make about it. While the vast majority of Hoosiers support access to abortion—and just 14% support an all-out ban—the law went into effect in August 2023, forcing Hoosier women to either flee the state for necessary care or carry a pregnancy against their will.
Banning abortion makes being pregnant more of a risk for people and their families to take on. Politicians interfering in medical decisions means doctors have their hands tied until their patient meets one of the ban’s incredibly narrow exceptions. And once our personal medical choices become something to legislate according to politicians’ personal and religious beliefs, it’s likely that things like contraception might be next.

You can make a difference. Let your representatives know that you support abortion rights by making your voice heard at the ballot box in this election, and make sure your friends and family know that reproductive freedom is on the ballot. Your vote matters!
