Mycal Ashby is a person with a physical disability and is confined to a wheelchair. Her child was in a school choir that conducted its Christmas program at a site that was not accessible. ACLU of Indiana assisted Ashby in 2016 in suing for damages, claiming that this violates federal laws prohibiting discrimination on the grounds of disability status. Summary judgment motions are being briefed.
