ACLU of Indiana filed this class action challenge to address the failure of LaPorte to have sidewalks that are accessible to disabled persons as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Both sides have sought summary judgment. The trial court has entered partial summary judgment in plaintiffs’ favor. The parties have entered into a settlement of all remaining issues and the case is open for monitoring.
