Prohibition of Free or Reduced Fares on Election Day

This bill would have prohibited a public transportation agency from offering free or discounted fares on a general, primary, or municipal election day. This was a blatant attempt to reduce voter turnout, specifically among communities most likely to access public transportation. Indiana legislators should be making efforts to expand access to the polls rather than further disenfranchising Hoosier voters.
