This bill would eliminate DEI programs and practices at state agencies and public universities. It would also limit how companies who receive state contracts can pay for DEI training and limit DEI programs at certain health organizations.
As Indiana becomes increasingly diverse, elected officials need to invest in programs and practices that make Hoosiers feel welcome at state agencies and public universities. Among other things, DEI practices reduce the likelihood of unlawful workplace discrimination and harassment. This bill is another large step in the wrong direction for Indiana.
